1. PURCHASE OF SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAPER VERSIONS OF MAGAZINE ISSUES
To make purchases on the platform, you must be logged in to your customer account.
To do so, please follow these steps:
Click on the My Account logo, located at the top right of your screen.
- If you do not have an account: create one by filling in the required fields.
- If you already have an account: log in with your email address and password.
- You can also log using your Google or Facebook IDs.
Payment
Online payment can be made by credit card or check. To pay by money order, you must contact SODEP by e-mail or telephone, specifying the product·s you wish to purchase.
For transactions by check, please complete your order and send your payment to the order of:

Consult the status of your order
In your customer account, access the My Orders section. You will be able to see the status of your orders.
Follow-up of your order
- For the purchase of paper versions of magazine issues: SODEP takes care of the mailing of all the previous or current issues of a periodical.
- For the purchase of subscriptions: SODEP takes care of the mailing of the back issue or current issue. A notification will be sent to the publisher, who will take over the delivery of the current and subsequent issues.
SODEP will ensure that the products posted on its site are available within the prescribed time frame. If SODEP is unable to meet this commitment, it is obliged to notify its customers as soon as possible. You can check the status of your order at any time by accessing the My Orders section of your customer account.
2. INSTITUTIONAL CLIENTS
Creation of an institutional account
Purchase of subscriptions or paper versions of magazine issues:
- To create an institutional account, contact SODEP at info@sodep.qc.ca or 514 397-8670.
- If you already have an account, click on the My Account logo, located at the top right of your screen. Log in by entering your email address and password.
Purchasing digital versions of magazines:

Availability of paper versions of magazine issues
If the issue you wish to receive is available and in sufficient quantity, it will be shipped within three to four (3-4) business days of receipt of your order. SODEP makes sure that the products posted on its site are available within the prescribed time. If SODEP is unable to meet this commitment, it is required to notify its customers as soon as possible. Please note that there may also be additional delays if the issue you wish to receive is reprinted.
3. PURCHASE OF SUBSCRIPTIONS AND DIGITAL VERSIONS OF MAGAZINE ISSUES
Compatibility with Kindle e-readers
Only digital books in PDF format without Adobe DRM protection are compatible with Kindle e-readers. PDF files with Adobe DRM protection and ePUB files (with or without protection) are not compatible with this device.
4. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF DOWNLOAD
Intellectual property
The digital issues and subscriptions purchased on the platform constitute works protected by the Copyright Act. The user acknowledges and agrees to use these works only for personal, private purposes and may not charge for their reading or viewing. Any reproduction, performance or making available contrary to these purposes constitutes copyright infringement and may result in legal action. The user agrees not to circumvent or otherwise infringe upon technical protection measures for downloaded works.
Availability of digital files in the user account
SODEP makes the digital files available for download in the user account. The user is solely responsible for saving said files for preservation.
Compatibility
SODEP does not warrant that the goods sold as digital files will be compatible with the device you are using or that the file will remain compatible with, among other things, your playback program and the operating system of your device. SODEP does not provide technical support for uses other than reading the digital files purchased on the Platforms.
PDF files
- Provide a faithful representation of the paper book (each page is an image).
- Static format.
- Impossible to change the size of the text to fit the screen.
- Not recommended for use on a e-reader.
- Ideal for books with many illustrations or complex layouts.

Prices and release dates for digital versions of journal issues
The price and release date are set by the publisher. In most cases, the price is lower than the price of the paper versions. The release date may vary from the print version.
Downloading digital versions of your issues
Once the transaction is completed, you will be able to find your download link in two places:
- A link will appear on your order confirmation page, under the heading My Orders.
- In the My Account section, you will be able to access the My Orders section. All your digital purchases are listed there. Click on the desired title.
5. SEARCH
Search bar
Enter the term(s) (information contained in the magazine product sheets, issue product sheets, news sheets, event sheets, content pages, project page) that you know and click on the magnifying glass in the bar provided at the top of the screen. The search engine will do the rest. If you are not sure of the spelling of the words, enter only the part of the words you are sure of. Don't hesitate to specify your search by indicating, for example, the theme of the magazine.

6. PRICES
SODEP is an NPO incorporated in Quebec (Canada). All prices indicated on the Platform are in Canadian dollars. Federal and provincial taxes are calculated according to the items included in the shopping cart and the delivery address, before proceeding with the payment. For residents of Canada, taxes on subscriptions apply according to their province of delivery.
7. TRANSPORT AND DELIVERY
Shipping costs and delivery times
We use the basic services and rates of Canada Post. Shipping costs are taxable. If you live in Quebec, Ontario or the Maritimes, it takes three to four days for delivery from the time your order is shipped. If you live in Western Canada, the average delivery time is 5 days. If you live outside Canada, the average delay will be 6 to 12 days.

Regular mail:
- Rate: $6 per magazine on paper versions of issues and subscriptions starting with the current or previous issue
- Average delay: 3-4 days
Ontario and Maritimes
Regular mail:
- Rate: $6.00 per magazine on paper versions and subscriptions starting with the current or previous issue
- Average delay: 3-4 days
Western Canada
Regular Mail:
- Rate: $6.00 per magazine on paper versions and subscriptions starting with the current or previous issue
- Average delay: 5 days
Outside Canada
Small parcel by airmail :
- Rate: $17.50 per magazine on paper versions of issues and subscriptions starting with the current or previous issue
- Average delivery time: 6 to 12 days
Additional delays will be added if the product is missing or out of stock.
8. FREE SHIPPING
For all purchases of paper versions of magazine issues of $40 or more, you can benefit from free delivery.
Here are the conditions to respect:
- Free shipping is applicable only on the total amount of purchases of paper versions of issues.
- Subscriptions are excluded from this measure.
- The delivery address must be in Canada.
- The amount of the order must be 40$ before taxes.
- If an order contains both print and digital issues, only the value of the print purchases will be considered.
- If the cancellation of one or more items ordered reduces the pre-tax total of the order to less than $40, the appropriate shipping charges will apply.
9. REFUND POLICY
You may request a refund for (non-digital) items that you have purchased. To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition as you received it. If this is the case, simply email us at info@sodep.qc.ca within 30 days of purchase or before the first issue of your subscription or re-subscription is sent. Please be advised that this refund policy for your online purchases applies only to purchases of paper versions of issues. For full details regarding our refund and exchange policies, please refer to Section 8, Refund and Exchange Terms, of our Terms of Use.
10. YOUR ACCOUNT
Connection to your account
Opening a customer account on the site of SODEP allows you:
- To make online purchases on our secure server.
- To save information relating to your profile, your details and your payment methods.
- To access the history of your orders.
- To create and maintain your personalized wish list.
If you already have an account:
Click on My Account on the right, in the top banner of the home page. Enter the required information in the fields of the I already have an account form and click on the Login button. To save time, you can also log in using your Google or Facebook IDs.
If you do not have an account yet:
Click on My Account on the right, in the top banner of the home page. Then click on Create my account and complete the form. This information can be modified by accessing the My Account section.
View your purchase history:
On the My Account page, under My Orders, you can check your past orders and the status of your current orders.
Close your account:
If you wish to close your account, notify us by email at info@sodep.qc.ca.
Change your email address:
Go to the My Account section. Change your email address in Account Information.
Password
There is no minimum or maximum number of characters for your password. SODEP recommends a password between 8 and 12 characters. Pay particular attention to its composition. Using special characters and numbers in your password increases its security.
Forgot your password?
On the Login page, click Forgot your password? Enter the email address you used to open your account. After clicking Reset, you will receive a link to create a new password.
Want to change your password?
Go to the My Account section, then Account Information. Click on Change my password to create your new password.
Confidentiality
SODEP takes all necessary precautions to ensure the confidentiality of personal information and acts in accordance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information. The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account, their personal information and their password. SODEP will not be held responsible for any unauthorized use of your account. The user must notify SODEP as soon as possible of any unauthorized use or potential security breach by email to info@sodep.qc.ca.
